Just made the big move to New York City! I'm so excited to start this new adventure in the Big Apple! More to come once I get settled!
Coming out of COVID!!!!! From June to July, I was in my first YAP since COVID, that was IN-PERSON!
While at Chicago Summer Opera program, Session 1, I had the opportunity to cover the role of Bradamante in their production of Handel’s Alcina. I was blessed with a fantastic creative team that was supportive through the whole rehearsal/staging process. I got to do a staged cover-run with piano and it felt great!
I was also fortunate to participate in four scenes in CSO's Scenes Study Program. I was Mère Marie in Dialogues des Carmélites, Fidalma in Il matrimonio segreto, Meg Page in Falstaff, and (my personal favorite) Hänsel in Hänsel und Gretel.
Thank you to Viktoria Vizin, Cathy Dunn, Pedro Yanez, and Adriano Spampanato for your coaching, teaching, mentorship and support!

I am so happy and proud of stepping back into the work I love. I am newly inspired to keep going and create!
This is a pretty obvious update, but I did update the format of my website. I added some color, which I think added some warmth and dimension. I really like it! What do you think? Shoot me a message!
I am hopeful for the possibilities for auditions this year. I appreciate how so many opera programs have either waived their application fee or reduced it. Also, I am hopeful because almost all companies are switching to an online screening and audition.
Don't get me wrong, live auditions are extremely important and more telling than recordings, but I'm so happy about the opportunity that I have to audition for so many programs!
I am also happy and hopeful because of my friend and wonderful pianist, Sandi Rabas, who has donated so much of her time and skill in helping me with recording and preparing for auditions.
I hope that in this COVID crisis, everyone can find one silver lining in their life. This is my silver lining, presently.
***Check Out some of my new Audition Videos!!!
In an effort to stay active and positive with music, I have decided to initiate Fun Fridays with Kate. Every Friday, I will record and post on both Facebook and Instagram, some sort of musical number, whether it be musical, pop, etc.
My goal, other than to stay positive and musically active, I want to practice my arranging, improvising skills, when covering songs.
Be safe, have fun!
Auditions are starting back up again so I am hopeful for the future, getting back on the horse, and wishing you all best!
**I'm uploading some of my audition videos, so take a look!!!
In an effort to try and raise money, while still social distancing, NOVA Center for the Performing Arts is holding a parking lot cabaret benefit in the parking lot west of the building at 2316 Montana Ave.
The community theater in Billings, MT has been such a valuable support system, amazing outlet, and second family to me. This is why I want to encourage my Billings community to make a safe effort to support the suffering performing arts.
I will be singing a socially distanced duet with Janie Sutton and a new opera aria.
